January 17th Meeting

Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

The next meeting for the Bureau County Republican Women will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. We
will meet in the Steinbeck Room at Fitzgerald’s Piano Lounge. The address is 432 S. Main Street in Princeton. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm.

Elections will be held for the offices of Vice‐President and Treasurer at this meeting. Please let the members of our nominating committee, Kristi Warren and JoAnn Bertetto, know if you would be interested in serving in either of these positions.

This will be an exciting election year. We will be discussing what we can do to make an impact on our national, state, and local elections.

Pizza will be ordered for those who are interested.

May 17th BCRW Meeting

The Bureau County Republican Women’s meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 17. It will begin at 6:00 p.m. and be held in the Steinbeck Room at Fitzgerald’s Piano Lounge. The address is 432 S. Main Street in Princeton.

Please plan on attending, as we have much to discuss with summer plans, events, and a fast approaching 2012 election!

Bureau-LaSalle Tea Party Meeting March 22

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011

The Bureau-LaSalle Tea Party’s meeting on March 22 at Illinois Valley Community College will have a great line-up of speakers. Info we all need on what is going on in DC, what we can demand for balancing the budget, what is going on in Springfield for taxpayers and small businesses, Transparency. Doors open at 6:30pm.

March 15th Meeting

We have a special meeting planned for Tuesday, March 15.

Robert Vickery, our guest speaker, will be giving us a short workshop on how to write an effective letter to the editor. Mr. Vickery was the NewsTribune’s Vice-President of advertising for a number of years. He was a member of the panel of editors who routinely chose which letters would be published. He has advised on several successful local campaigns, including his own race for County Board in a largely Democrat area of Peru last fall. He knows what does, and does not, work in regard to Media and Marketing, and he will be sharing that information with us at the meeting.
